Tempe Hardware Reclamation Project
The Tempe Hardware Reclamation Project was the rejuvination of an existing historic building on Mill Avenue in downtown Tempe. We adapted this building to a community center and senior living complex. Because of the buildings historic status, the exterior and existing ballroom have been left original in the remodel and a fourth and fifth floor have been added on to the building with minimal structural support from the existing building. The remodel focused on bringing in light and nature into the building through the addition of an atrium and the development of other light collecting techniques.
